Early Childhood Advisory Council (ECAC)

The Harrison Early Childhood Advisory Council purpose is to review and provide comment on the Early Childhood program. The Early Childhood Advisory Council provides an opportunity for local stakeholders to participate in planning, review progress towards full implementation of high quality preschool program, and propose resolution of issues that may arise during implementation. 

The mission of HECAC is to:

  1. Provide all members an opportunity to be active participants in the assessment of needs and resources, including facilities, as it pertains to the implementation of high quality preschool.
  2. Develop priorities based upon recommendations of the Director of Early Childhood Education and the Community and Parent Involvement Specialist (CPIS).
  3. Review and comment on the Harrison Public School system’s Self Assessment and Validation System (SAVS) report as organized by the district’s Director of Early Childhood Education.
  4. Enlist, promote, and support collaboration between the early childhood program and the community.
