Harrison’s Ray Lucas Gets Inducted into the Rutgers Athletics Hall of Fame

Ray LucasHarrison native, Ray Lucas, visited Washington Middle School to celebrate his induction in the 2017 Rutgers Athletics Hall of Fame. A 1991 graduate of Harrison High School, Ray attended Rutgers University, playing quarterback and graduating in 1996. Upon graduating from Rutgers, Ray went on to play for the New England Patriots, the New York Jets, the Baltimore Ravens, and the Miami Dolphins. He is currently an Emmy award-winning studio analyst for SportsNet New York.

At the school-wide assembly, Ray told the students, “School work was always challenging for me. I had to work hard at it, and that’s what I tell you today...work hard for what you want—dream the impossible. Working hard and graduating from Rutgers remains one of my most meaningful accomplishments. And I’m absolutely flabbergasted that they selected me for the Athletics Hall of Fame”.
